Waiting on Wednesday: Week 10

Wooohooooooooooo! It’s my 10th week doing these! I can’t believe I’ve stuck with something this long. AWESOME! There is hope for me yet! =D

So to celebrate, I’m doing a special edition of Waiting on Wednesday, featuring the final volumes of three awesome trilogies. Likelihood that I will cry when they’re over = high. Don’t tell my family… they’ll bar me from buying these…

The Reckoning – Kelley Armstrong (Coming May 1, 2010)

Only two weeks ago, life was all too predictable. But that was before I saw my first ghost. Now, along with my supernatural friends Tori, Derek, and Simon, I’m on the run from the Edison Group, which genetically altered us as part of their sinister experiment. We’re hiding in a safe house that might not be as safe as it seems. We’ll be gone soon anyway, back to rescue those we’d left behind and to take out the Edison Group . . . or so we hope.

I got this one a while ago from one of the bloggers, I think it was Yan, but I think the actual cover has a higher saturation level like the previous ones. It’s lovely, isn’t it? And AAAAAH OMG I need my Derek fix!

Gone – Lisa McMann (Coming March 2010)

Janie thought she knew what her future held. And she thought she’d made her peace with it. But she can’t handle dragging Cabel down with her.
She knows he will stay with her, despite what she sees in his dreams. He’s amazing. And she’s a train wreck. Janie sees only one way to give him the life he deserves–she has to disappear. And it’s going to kill them both.
Then a stranger enters her life–and everything unravels. The future Janie once faced now has an ominous twist, and her choices are more dire than she’d ever thought possible. She alone must decide between the lesser of two evils. And time is running out…

He reaches toward her, his fingers black and bloody, his eyes deranged, unblinking. Janie is paralyzed. his cold hands reach around her neck, squeezing tight, tighter, until Janie has no breath left. She’s unable to move, unable to think. As his grasp tightens further around Janie’s neck, his face turns sickly alabaster. He strains harder and begins to shake.

Janie is dying.
She has no fight left in her.
It’s over.

Mysterious stranger?!?! Is this that missing Jesus-like father/mom’s old lover we keep seeing? Or someone completely random? And NO OMG WTF JANIE DON’T LEAVE CABEL! NOOOO! (As you can see, I’m completely invested in this series. Like, for real. It’s scary.)

Runaway – Meg Cabot (Coming May 2010)

No cover image for this, or blurb, but psh. Please. It’s the finale for the Airhead series – officially Meg Cabot’s coolest. You know I’ll be in line for this mother on release day 😉

All right, it’s time for you guys to weigh in. What are you waiting for, in terms of series?
